Their Voice Matters

Ep. 26: “They Blamed Everyone But Themselves”: Sacred Journey Responds to Emily Pike Lawsuit

Their Voice Matters Episode 26

The group home Emily Pike ran away from has finally responded to the lawsuit filed by her father, and their defense is raising serious questions.

In this update, we’ll break down how Sacred Journey is shifting blame in their official court filing, pointing fingers at Emily, her parents, tribal authorities, and even the facility that previously discharged her, while denying any fault of their own.

Emily was a 14-year-old Indigenous girl who ran away from her group home in Mesa, Arizona, in January 2025. Her dismembered body was found two weeks later, nearly 100 miles away. No arrests have been made. Her case remains unsolved.

The full case breakdown and updates are available now.

Thank you for listening and for caring about Emily’s story. Her life mattered, and her voice still deserves to be heard.
